Skylar Schissler started this petition to Governor Andy Beshear

On September 3rd, 2020, a young man by the name of Skylar Schissler suffered what he believes to be an episode of PTSD and assaulted his first cousin in a fight or flight panic. He and his peers believe this to stem from a lifetime of abuse and suffering, including but not limited to saving his mother's life from a suicide attempt and being ran over for it, and being violently evicted and framed for domestic violence in the same day while living with the victim months prior to the incident. He is reaching out to Governor Beshear and his fellow citizens to request a pardon, so that he may properly seek rehabilitation at a mental health institution and rejoin society.

Mr. Schissler has spent 10 and a half months on the frontline of retail during the covid-19 pandemic, worked at a slaughterhouse and suffered the effects of e. Coli to feed his family, is directly responsible for saving his mother's life, and regularly performs acts of charity and volunteer work through the churches in his hometown of Benton, Kentucky.
