Football (soccer) is fast becoming one of the biggest sports on the Fraser Coast. Unfortunately most of the resources and opportunities are provided for Hervey Bay facilities and their players. Maryborough players want the the chance and opportunity to experience the same locally. 

Maryborough families, players and clubs want the opportunity to have a SAP and TSP program. We have access to qualified and dedicated coaches. Skilled, dedicated players wanting to learn, excel and grow at the game they love, and a community that is willing to support them.

The level of players coming out of Maryborough is equally as important and viable as those coming from Hervey Bay. The Skills Acquisition Program and Talent Support Program is designed for inclusivity, sportsmanship, education and pathways. These programs in regional Queensland need to be offered in more locations therefor giving more children an opportunity to participate. 

Maryborough parents and players request that an opportunity be awarded for Maryborough to hold a SAP Wide Bay branch and be able to participate in the SAP program in 2022. As a minimum we request that you offer Maryborough an under 11's SAP team under SAP Wide Bay banner, or alternatively a new branch SAP Maryborough. Parents support the decision to run this as a trial for the 2022 season to show the viability. Maryborough has long been involved in the Football community and have many talented players wanting to participate, This will showcase the sport, grow the love of the game, encourage community spirit, and improve the football community. 

Parents have nominated a coach for this team, Jesse Kaine. Jesse has completed The Skill Training certificate, the Miniroos Coaching certificate and has been coaching 2 miniroos teams for last 4 years. He is dedicated to the sport and the teaching and love of the game. Jesse is willing and able to participate in further education/training to ensure quality coaching is given throughout the SAP program and club football seasons.
