Jared Rector started this petition to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo

Our Lord and Savior Andrew Byford who hails from the land of Plymouth England was brought forth to our city to bring new life to a crippling, disgusting transit system. He wanted nothing but the best for the city, he listened to the people, he rode with the people, and most importantly he was one of the people. However, not everyone was fond of our rescuer as the wicked man from the north who declares himself as the Governor was shaken by the uproar in which Byford was making. So just like Pontius Pilate killed Jesus, the corrupt Andrew Cuomo ordered for actions to be taken against Byford to push him out the door. He succeeded, but we shall not give him up the fight.

He was our Train Daddy, the savior of saviors, the steam for the engines, the electricity to the 3rd rail, the son sent forth to us by Alfred Ely Beach, the light to lead us through the tunnels, the man to open the gate to the next generation of transportation for our city, the one that would truly give CPR to the city when it most needs it, yet they didn't like his ambitions. Ambitions that were the dreams of many New Yorkers who just wanted a reliable transit system that wasn't on its death bed.

I ask you to join the fight and make Andy Byford the mascot of the MTA.
