Why should children and parents be subject to punishment because of chosing to be present in class. In nursing homes and assisted living facilities workers are being tested weekly to keep residents safe and unfortunately social distancing is very unlikely. Patients and residents are only tested when shown with symptoms and that is high risk environment. Children should not be tested for COVID without their parents being there and should be given an opportunity to conduct testing at a testing site. The nasal swab is a uncomfortable invasive test that can frighten or traumatized a child. Why should are children be punished for going to school?
