Tanisha Hereast started this petition to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo

There's a population that often gets overlooked; Seniors. In today's time with the economy on the rise, the elderly are being severely affected by the rising cost of repairs due to this pandemic. They're senior citizens that earned pennies on the dollar and now are expected to live the same way? It is a grave injustice for the citizens who built the very foundation of this country that are now forced to eat food rations being provided by the government, missing the necessary nutrients to keep them going. I implore you to raise the frequency and the amount that is being provided to the very people that made your life possible; the babysitter, the maintenance worker, the Home Health Aide, the garbage man, anyone considered low on the totem pole has contributed to where you are today, to include your parents whom have also worked very hard. Not everyone is able to live the Life that you live, Mr. Cuomo. Senior citizens should be able to live decently, having enough finances to provide adequately for their families without having to live check to check on a monthly basis; it's just not enough. I feel strongly about this because I am a single mother of three and I am responsible for off setting my mother's income (who was a Home Health Aide with nothing to show for it) to make ends meet.  I am aware that they're had been some increase however, that increase has not  been compatible with the cost of living. We NEED a CHANGE. Seniors should no longer suffer. I thank you for your time.
