Hello,

I am the mother to a four year old who was born blind. He is so much more than his disability, but at this time his in person  education is being threatened. Last school term along with every other child in NYS, Oliver’s right to be in the classroom was stripped from him.

Now this term he started at only two days a week. But this is once again being threatened. After the thanksgiving holiday the school he attends shut down for two weeks of quarantine. But where does it end? Will we be entering into another mandatory shut down by our state government again?

I am here to implore anyone who feels that our disabled children, all our children, should be allowed to attend full in person education, to please sign. Please help me fight the injustice being done to our children, especially those with disabilities.

We know enough about the corona virus to quarantine those who are ill. We are all wearing masks to slow the spread. We are all trying to protect the vulnerable. But we must also protect our children's rights for in-person education. Please stand with me. Let’s make our voices heard.
