This petition is to help in calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York State to appoint a special prosecutor, Attorney General Letitia James, to investigate the police killing of Kamal Flowers of New Rochelle that occurred on 06/05/2020 in the City of New Rochelle.

The Family and friends, along with various community leaders and residents of New Rochelle and Westchester County, are not confident with a local or county led investigation into this killing. We need a true independent investigation that’s unbiased in nature and friendships. The release of the recent video footage that was supposed to show justified murder only raised more questions to the thoughts and actions of Alec Mckenna and the NRPD.

By signing this petition you too are saying you want this killing to be investigated thoroughly and unbiased and the only way that can happen is with the State Attorney's Office at the forefront of this investigation. This is vital to beginning to show understanding at the least.
