I have family and friends who work for companies like Safelite AutoGlass and Estée Lauder where they continuously come in contact with people at work. People are allowed in their shop and Workers also drive to customers houses, placing them at risk. People who work in the warehouses and the security guards come in contact with truck drivers who have been traveling through the states. No one knows who will have the virus because people can go days without showing any symptoms. Considering how contagious it is, some of these workers should be allowed to stay at home to help protect the safety of theirselves and their families. If a family member goes out and gets the virus, he can potentially put his family at risk because he will come home and spread it to his wife and kids. Schools may be closed for the next two weeks, but what about those parents who have to leave their kids at home and go to work knowing they could bring that to their kids. Isn’t this what they were trying to prevent in the first place. Those who work in the medical field and Law enforcement, I understand it’s not easy for them to be able to stay home, however, does someone who has the corona virus really need someone from Safelite or Estée Lauder to help them? Please sign this petition, I am considered for these families out there. Even if it’s for the next two weeks like the schools, please send these workers home. At a time like this, no one should be forced to still show up to work.
