Due to the corona virus the NYS dmv has suspended all road tests indefinitely. This has left teenagers and young adults with no way to get their driver license. Some have even paid fees for pre-licensing course where the valid period will expire before the corona virus epidemic clears up. Without a drivers license, many people can’t get to work, find new work, or drive to get essential supplies. This will cause future issues when corona virus clears up because it will put a back log of people waiting for road tests in the fall which could mean students entering college and can not transport themselves, young adults unable to find work, and added burden on the parents and caregivers of our youth.
