Allowing a Long Island Championship. For many this may be high schoolers last year in playing sports. But for many this may be the next step to going onto the next level. With allowing high schoolers to compete for a LIC in their sports categories it could really emphasize and show a players love for their sport. Not to include that once sports team play in playoffs and counties each prevailing team should be allowed to play in one more game, the LIC. Over the years there has always been a long island championship and to having 2 years in a row without one would seem pretty unfair to seniors. Not only would county winners be amused after the county championship but they would want to go the extra step and show all other teams out there whose the best in long island. Each and every high school has supporters which could be friends and families watching games and to see how a team improves over time and not get a shot at the big chip would be disappointing to everyone supporting the teams at stake. Hard enough some sports teams are not allowed to have fans at games and this really diminished energy and enthusiasm to the games. In all honesty high school sports are going on right now and it would just make sense to take the season to a next step and allow an lic. Us sports players are all willing and are all dedicated to our sports and if a Long Island Championship is allowed to be played in each sport every team will be more willing to win and to make it to the biggest game on Long Island.
