On Monday, June 19, 2017, Evergreen Lifestyles Management, on behalf of the Terra Largo HOA Board, which is comprised of two members from Kolter Homes, notified Terra Largo residents of a unilateral decision to impose a $100 rental fee on Terra Largo residents who rent the clubhouse multipurpose room.  The $100 rental fee covers 5 hours of use, including set up and clean up.  An additional $15 per hour will be charged for any usage over 5 hours.  Prior to this policy, a reservation request and agreement, along with a $250 refundable security deposit was required to rent the room.  The new policy still requires the $250 refundable security deposit, in addition to the $100 non-refundable rental fee.

As we, the residents of Terra Largo, understand it, this policy will take effect on August 1st, 2017, and was developed to help offset costs related to maintaining the multipurpose room.  While we acknowledge that a few upgrades to the multipurpose room are needed (for example, a new TV and media player), we do not believe that the upkeep or normal wear and tear of this room over the past 5 years, or even for the next 5 years, equates to $100 per rental.  The residents of Terra Largo, who have signed this petition, are perplexed as to why the monthly HOA and OK TerraLargo Club assessments (approximately $135 per month per member) do not go toward maintaining and upgrading the multipurpose room, when all residents have access to it.  Moreover, to our knowledge, the residents of Terra Largo were not given an opportunity to provide input related to this policy change before, during, or to this point, after its development, which is concerning.

The residents of Terra Largo, who have signed this petition, are cordially requesting that Evergreen Lifestyles Management and the TerraLargo HOA Board reconsider this policy.  We believe that there is a better solution that can be reached through collaborative, spirited discussion, where all parties are represented.
