I have been trying to find an apartment for months. I should've found one a long time ago, however landlords and management companies from Gravesend to Bay Ridge; will not allow me to rent because I have a 50 pound, mixed breed dog. New York is a non BSL state. It is a disgrace that a hard working person cannot rent an apartment because of the type of dog they have. My dog is very friendly, with children and adults alike. She is well behaved. She's an all around great dog and she's not just a dog, she's my family. I'm sick of being a victim of discrimination over and over. Please help pass a law that landlords and management companies are not allowed to discriminate against larger breeds!!
