Dog Lover started this petition to Andrew Constance - Minister for Transport and Roads NSW

We Aussies love our dogs - many of us have grown up with a pet dog, played with our friend’s dog and experienced the absolute joy brought by the furry beings. Our dogs are not just pets- they are family! In fact, a higher proportion of Aussies live with a pet than with a child. I believe that we should be able to travel with our furry companions on Sydney trains with the same freedoms (and rules) that they do in Melbourne. If they can do it, why can’t we? As long as there are clear rules about when and how dogs can travel, I don’t see why our pets can’t travel with us to a dog-friendly workplace, or out in the world to parks and other fun places!.

It is very difficult for dog owners like me without personal transport to travel with their dogs to the vet. We rely on buses and ferries which do not service all of Sydney. These bus rides often result in traumatic experiences for our dogs due to the frequent and abrupt stopping. Our dogs deserve to ride comfortably, without fear!

Please support me in fighting for our furry friends, our family, to be allowed to travel on Sydney trains by signing and sharing this petition.
