The Amaravati collection in the British Museum consists of over 120 different pieces. After the first explorations of the site by Colin Mackenzie, Sir Walter Elliot of the Madras Civil Service undertook excavations at the Amaravati stūpa in 1797 and transported the excavated pieces to Madras and british museum.
Collection contains our pride Amaravathi stupa and many Buddhist stupas, a great work done in the times of sathavahana , Ikshvaku and Kakatiya rulers.
Not only our sculpture, British government has many collection from many countries where they were stolen.if you dont believe,check the facts on british museum then you will get better answer. They aren't only stolen our collection and also entire world's art , culture and man hours.
And British govt has to feel shame, those are not belongs to you. You enjoying Someone's property just feel pity.
