I started this petition because I believe that I've earned the right to represent other members of The Town of Highlands community when I tell you that the time has come for you to step down of the Chamber of Commerce. You have been extremely unprofessional and have wasted countless hours of your time personally attacking several life long residents and in doing so have neglected your responsibilities.

The three main objectives of a Chamber of Commerce:

1) To protect the interests of business community as a whole. 

2) To develop a sense of cooperation among their members.

3) To collect and supply useful information to the members.

I am in the process of starting my own business and was looking forward to joining the Chamber. Covid put a temporary hold on my plans and I am excited that I can finally begin working on this venture again. I was looking for resources and went to the Chamber website. Are you aware of how outdated it is? Let me list the things that are wrong for you:

1) The meet and greet with candidates which is promoted on the first page is from last years election!!!!!

2) There is no mention of when the next Chamber meeting is.

3)The events calendar is completely blank. Are you aware that this week is the unveiling of the Buffalo Solider monument and the first home football game?

4) Sadly, five of the businesses listed have closed in the last year.

5)  Last but definitely not least, THERE IS NO MENTION ON FACEBOOK OR THE WEBSITE OF ANY OF THE NEW BUSINESSES THAT HAVE OPENED!!!!!

This week is an exciting time for our community as we welcome back fans to the stadium and honor the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers. You have done nothing to promote any of this. If you have time to rant your political beliefs on Facebook then you have time to update the website. 

Given the fact that you have failed to create an environment in which businesses can prosper I am formally requesting that you step down immediately.  

If need be, I volunteer to take over as Interim until a meeting can be held among the Town of Highland's business owners to elect a new official.
