Petition for Ekurhuleni ANC 8th regional conference & Gauteng ANC 14th provincial conference to be declared *null* and *void*

Members of the ANC in Ekurhuleni and Gauteng in general are invited to participate in a campaign to petition the Ekurhuleni 8th regional conference which took place on the 26 of May 2022 at Indaba hotel Fourways and the Gauteng 14th provincial conference which took place on the 23rd to 26th June 2022 at the Lakes hotel Benoni to be *null* and *void* . 

Both conferences lacks legitimacy on the ground that there were votes which were quarratined due to the dispute which were instituted by a number of branches which felt that the process were not fair and free which resulted in Ekurhuleni results being provisionally released pending the investigation into the complaints of the quarantined results of the branches which brought dispute to the leadership of the ANC.

And as result the situation of Ekurhuleni conference indirectly or directly affects the legitimacy of the Gauteng provincial conference due to the fact that some branches out of the quarantined branch votes were allowed to participate in the provincial conference and others were not allowed which renders the process of the ANC provincial conference not free and fair. 

It is also a concern that results of additional members of the Ekurhuleni REC were never declared at the conference venue and it took almost  two month to get the results which were communicated on social media platforms without delegates who participated in the conference being taken to confidence with such a big announcement which should have been made by the independent elections agency and therefore the results of Ekurhuleni additional REC members  lacks credibility and legitimacy and therefore they should be declared *null* and *void* . 

Therefore after so many attempts to raise these discrepancies with the leadership of the ANC and being ignored, the last option is to have this petition signed by all aggrieved members of the ANC across the whole Gauteng to demonstrate that they are not satisfied about how the leadership of the ANC have dealt with the concerns of the bona fide members of the ANC and as a result this may have a negative impact on the renewal and rebuilding process of the ANC and therefore both conferences should be declared *null* and *void* .
