Today, out of nowhere; my husband had an anaphylactic episode while just eating a normal burger and chips in a restaurant. He has had such episode's due to some food intolerances, but never as Severe as todays. We normally are so careful with what he eats as we know how he can react to certain foods, but this reaction came out of nowhere.
Having no medication on hand we were lucky enough to get some antihistamine off one of the waiters in the restaurant, who gladly supplied us with a tablet.

Even so we had to call an ambulance as a matter of urgency when he started having chest pains and his throat was closing making it difficult for him to breathe. 

Had it not been for having the antihistamine given by the waiter, who also supplied us with an epi-pen, (if we needed it; before the ambulance arrived), the outcome of our day could have been tragically very different.

I would therefore ask that the government would pass into law that all food establishments to carry antihistamine in all their 1st Aid Kits,  as being able to administer this cheap medication could potentially save a life  or at least enable time for an ambulance to arrive and give life saving treatment. 
Please join me in my mission to make this a law to help save many lives. 
I didn’t understand how dangerous  food intolerances can change into a severe allergic reaction over time. This is at least a first line of defence to help save a life.
