IT'S TIME TO ACT

Ernesto Porter
United States

Dec 6, 2016 — As of now, Milo Yiannopoulos’ speaking tour has been canceled at Portland State, Iowa State, and North Dakota State. University of Washington will be next, with YOUR help. To do this, we need UW President Ana Mari Cauce to know how many people do not want Milo to speak at UW, so please CALL (don't just email) UW President Ana Mari Cauce's office:
Phone: 206–543–5010
And demand that she stop this event from taking place.
Call her office. Every day.
Get together with ALL your friends and phone bank to do the same.
Every day. We need to make it as difficult as possible for the administration to pretend this isn't a crisis.

This is what it is going to take to win.

Don't know what to say?

Here's a sample script.

"President Cauce,
I am calling to express my anger and frustration at the University of Washington’s decision to host notorious racist, sexist, transphobic speaker Milo Yiannopoulos this January 20th. I am also notifying you of a growing inter-community coalition to keep Milo off campus and of my support for them. In light of the increasing hostility towards marginalized groups on campus, the continued inaction from the University to protect the interests of these students, and the recent canceling of similar events at Portland State University, Iowa State University, and North Dakota State University for the same reasons stated here, it should be beyond clear that this event must be canceled. At this point it is well within the University’s control to stop this event from happening and issue an apology to the community at large and prevent students from being forced to take the initiative to keep their campus safe."
