No Class on Parade Day

Dear President Amy Gutmann,
With the utmost respect, I write to you regarding the issue of university operations on Thursday, the 8th of February. As you may know, the Philadelphia Eagles are, for the first (and very possibly last) time in the history of this sport, Super Bowl Champions. The city parade being held on Thursday is a tremendous event that is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us Penn students, Eagles and non-Eagles fans alike. Many of us have family and friends gathering from all over in our city to celebrate this incredible time. It would be a true shame to be stuck in a classroom while the rest of the city, our family members, and friends, got to experience an event that will be going down in history. The Philadelphia community will never again be united in such pride and joy. On behalf of the Penn community, I hope you will consider our thoughts when you decide whether or not university operations will continue. Hope to see you at the parade!
