Amtrak has restarted service to Toronto and western New York, but Amtrak's Adirondack route from New York City to Montreal by way of Westport, Port Kent, Port Henry, Plattsburgh, and Rouses Point remains shut down – an essential source of transportation for people within the region as well as those visiting.
