Naushin Kazmi, a medical student was found hanging from a ceiling fan on 24 October 2021, with her feet touching the table below. The VC of Benazir Bhutto University already announced it a suicide before the autopsy findings.

It was the same hostel of same university when around 2 years ago, another medical student was found dead in almost same mysterious condition, again allegedly commiting suicide.

As a concerned parent of a girl medical student, a professor myself, and as a concerned citizen, we demand a fair, transparent and impartial judicial inquiry to dig deeper into this situation. VC of the university should relinquish the charge, so as to not impact on the fair and impartial inquiry for both alleged suicide of medical students.

An unconfirmed circulating news suggests VC, Dr Aneela Atta ur Rahman has been granted ex- Pakistan leave for UK. Also, how a fact finding committee formed by her comprising of the staff of university, working under her, can come up with an independent and impartial inquiry, when she is their head and sitting Vice Chancellor.
