Manoj Pavithran started this petition to Amnesty and

Supreme Court of India order for the demolition of apartments rendering 350 families homeless for alleged Coastal Zone Regulation (CRZ) violation by the builder in Cochin,Kerala, India. The owners stand to loose their homes which is legal in all respects till the order date without being heard by any court of land.

The Supreme Court has been misrepresented with fact that the buildings are illegal to cover up a contempt of court by the state govt officials. The bench headed by Just. Arun Mishra has not given even a single chance for the home owners to be heard despite numerous petitions and pleas. The 350 families were given a mere 4 days to vacate the apartments by the state govt. Just.Mishra even denied a plea to extent the evacuation date of 04.10.19 and even threatened to file contempt of court against the lawyers appearing when they pointed out there has been grave human rights violation.

In the initial hearing the court had appointed a committee to meet with the home owners and hear them. Instead the committee appointed a sub-committee to make the report which was constituted of the person who filed the complaint. He reported the same as in the complaint and hence this order.
