This should be very easy to understand. One's choice of products to use should have as little to do with age as possible. Actually, the mature (40+) segment likely has a pretty high purchasing power, too. Why not have models that appeal to this segment as well?

Life really begins after 40, women become more beautiful with age, more confident with their imperfections, showing off their inner beauty. They are the main consumers in the retail and cosmetic industry so why not reflect this in adverts and on the ramp, being on the reality.
