I think Teeth Whitening needs to be removed as a dental only procedure and legally allowed in the cosmetic industry in all 50 states. Not only are the Dental rates crazy inflated but most Dental offices are moving away from doing in office whitening anyway because it's so time consuming. Most Dentists have stopped in office teeth whitening or have jacked the prices up so high to deter patients from doing it. Plus on the client side, its so freaking expensive. First you need to become an established patient, get a full mouth of xrays (unnecessary radiation), and an exam ALL BEFORE EVEN GETTING your teeth whitened. Which typically takes multiple visits. If they can squeeze both in on the same day it will take 3-4 hours. Not to mention how strong dental gel is. Most people I’ve spoken to hated Zoom Whitening.

As teeth whitening techs, estheticians and Dental Assistants, not only do we provide comfort, quality and convenience but better, safer, less abrasive products and we do it efficiently.

There’s more than enough room in this lucrative industry for cosmetic professionals to administer  this service.

Instead of fighting against us, let’s ban together to regulate teeth whitening for the safety of everyone.
