The ruling disallowing OBGYN's from treating men with pelvic pain is very disconcerting. There are already so few specialists that treat this affliction and so few answers that discouraging a large percentage of those that already pioneer this field from studying half of its population will cripple the progress towards curing such a devastating condition. Pudendal neuralgia is such a torturous affliction that it drives its sufferers towards suicide with each passing day.  What do we gain as a society from this ruling? WHY would you do this to people that already have so little hope, so few outlets?

The refusal of care to men suffering from pudendal/pelvic pain is sexist and outdated. Case in point Dr Hibner in Arizona unable to treat Dr Danielson, suffering for 5 years. I hope you are proud of yourselves for encouraging needless suffering. It is bad enough that thousands of women suffer with intractable pain and get little if any hope from their own OB GYN. When modern medicine cannot help those in pain, you should encourage more doctors to treat and research it rather than discourage them.   What happened to the Hypocratic Oath? Do No HARM. Get your priorities straight.
