Doctors need to be the ultimate arbiter and authority over patient treatments when it comes to the prescription of opiate-based drugs to patients, not insurance companies. Get out of doctor-patient relationships.
Patients requiring opiate-based drugs under medical supervision are being harmed by the current anti-opiate climate due to heavy-handed actions by insurance companies and the government.
Due to their very nature, the patients are incapable of representing themselves. A class action legal team must be assembled and this situation resolved.
