Allow us to pass F=ma from either A or B

Allow us to pass F=ma from either A or B
Why this petition matters
This year, a new policy was created where students could only pass the F=ma test by reaching the cutoff score on every test they take. AAPT said that "Students may take both F=ma A & B exams, but they must meet or exceed the cutoff score for both exams to move on to the USAPhO exam. There is no benefit for students to take both exams."
Due to the tricky, mistake-prone nature of F=ma and the stress on students, we believe that students should instead be allowed to take both the A and B and pass through to USAPHO through either one. If given only one chance, we are more likely to make mistakes and there is no real benefit, at least from all of the students' perspectives, in maintaining this new rule. Since there is much less than than a classroom of students who are interested in taking the f=ma in each school (generally), there isn't a much higher risk of spreading COVID if students are encouraged to take both.
This petition encourages the AAPT organization to reconsider its new rule by allowing students to pass through either f=ma A or B and not necessarily through both if they decide to take both.
