Karen Sanchez started this petition to American Airlines

Liver Cancer survivor Daniel Wickey has been working at American Airlines for the past 26 years and held the position of Ramp Manager at Los Angeles International Airport up until Tuesday, June 30th, when he was let go. After dedicating 26 years of his life to American Airlines, he was let go with only ~3 months left before he would be able to claim full retirement benefits. Within a minute of being told "your services would no longer be needed", he had been replaced. His cohorts want to petition American Airlines to allow him to at least be able to claim his retirement benefits, which include health care which he is dependent on due to a recent surgery. Ideally he would get his job back. Dan has been described as charismatic and someone who cares. If you ever needed anything, Dan would be there for you, always trying to understand the circumstances you were under. He goes above and beyond what he is required to do in an effort to make sure all the employees get the best possible outcomes for the given question or request. Anyone that worked with Dan can tell you that he is one of the best higher-up managers to be overseen by. Without him there, an immediate lack of empathetic management was accompanying the ramp workers. Having Dan back would be the boost in spirits everyone needs during these tough and unforgiving times. Please bring back Dan or let him qualify for his full retirement benefits.
