CME is all that should be required. Additional requirements are simply red tape and unnecessary expenses. If steps are required there should be methods available to accomplish them without cost or too much time commitment. We put our time in getting to where we are now.

I have a lifetime certificate, and I expect that to be honored! I get my annual 25 hrs of CME anyway, and I attend my local Derm Society mtgs monthly with live pt presentations, then adademic discussions for another 1.75 hrs /meeting! I usually bring very interesting pts, and I think that's enough. Ask my local peers!

MOC does not improve clinical care and gives no merit to the quality of medicine one practices .

MOC has not been shown to improve patient care. It has added an additional layer of burden to our already busy and increasingly complicated practices. MU, PQRS, OCR, MOC are all acronyms for programs that have increased the burden to the practicing dermatologist, and ultimately led us to have less and less time with our patients.

There is too much bureaucracy in medicine. It is another layer of busy work for already overworked physicians.

MOC currently not designed to improve patient care or physician education: just busy work to look great on paper......
