The biggest problem with our modern education system is that it isn’t modern. It is a struggle learning math knowing that I will not use it unless I am going into a field that will require me to. I never use most math taught after elementary in everyday life. These classes are also very stressful and time consuming for things I will not remember in the very near future. There are many better options that could be taught in school other than math.

One big thing is finances it should be a required class for all students so that they will know how to manage their expenses in the future. A cooking class should also be required so that people can cook for themselves in their daily lives. Math is not going to be used by your average everyday person in day to day life. Teach students things that they can use that will help them thrive in the future and become successful.
