Financial Support for Houston Artists
Financial Support for Houston Artists

As a local full time artist, owning my own small buisness selling my artwork, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused all public gatherings canceled and/or postponed. As you know as fellow Houstonians it is that time of year when art markets around the city begin to happen regularly. Those of us that depend on these markets from February- November as our main source of income are enormously effected now that these events have been canceled, some postponed, but most canceled.
I am asking for the help of the City of Houston and the State of Texas to please help your local artists in this time if need! For many, myself included these markets generate 85-90% of my small buisness revenue, therefore I am calling on any everyone, individuals, fellow small buisness owners, local, state, and federal government agencies, corporations, and philanthropic donors to the arts to please take the time to read this, sign this, and if you feel so gracious to leave a monetary donoration, by all means please do. It is times like this were we see the true meaning of #HoustonStrong...please continue to keep #HoustonStrong by showing your support for the amazing art community Houston is fortunate enough to have!
