Ahmedabad being the hub for the education purpose and a lot of people come to Ahmedabad for doing their Job too. There are ten's and thousands of students at Ahmedabad for their education, as well working people who are staying at PG's/Hostel's. Seeing to the current situation of COVID-19, and instruction given by the Government all the students have moved to their hometown for their health safety. From 16th March as preventive measures all the colleges and educational institutions are closed, as declared by Hon'ble PM of India. Also we are not aware when the lockdown will be lifted. No doubt all this steps are done for the safety purpose of the citizen.

What about the rent paid to the PG owners by the students who are at the moment at their hometown and not even using their facilities?

It's not the matter of 3-4 days. But it's more than a month and also difficult for the family members of those student. Here ultimately there would loss of the students staying in PG, because they won't get it back and have to pay for the next month. Also at the moment they are not offering services neither students are Consuming it as all the PG's are being closed or partially closed. Also they are demanding the rent for the upcoming months. We all know that at the moment everyone is facing the problem for financial crises.

Not everyone studying in different city might have a well settled family background. Someone might be struggling from the financial crises too.

What should be solution?

Either PG rent should be refunded or to be carried forward to the next month.
