Twenty years ago was they last time a serious effort was made to get as Ambulance Station for Uralla. A lot has changed since then, the town has grown, the surrounding areas have grown, the amount of traffic using the New England Highway has seen greater numbers of accidents and the strain that has been placed on Armidale ambulance service coping with all these problems of a region develops in all directions.

An ambulance station would not only benefit the Uralla community but all the other regional stations that are called upon to support us, when Armidale is over burden. A few weeks ago Wee Waa was put on standby to support areas including Uralla. Should a patient in 20222 have to wait for an ambulance from Wee Waa? 

Minutes and seconds save lives not hours! We are lucky to have the Fire service as amazing first responders however, it is the transport service and specialty care only an ambulance can provide that will give the Fire service the support they need.
