As a resident of Amberfield Ridge, do I feel strongly about having a 4-Way stop put up on the following intersections;
Lenchen, Fouriesburg and Amberfield Ridge Entrance, Lenchen, Reddersburg and Amberfield Manor Entrance
Vehicles entering from Fouriesburg, Reddersburg and even some of the Amberfield residents do not adhere to the first stop, first go rule of the road. There was an incident this past Friday (18/08), where the vehicle crossing over Lenchen simply did not stop, hitting the vehicle turning right into Fouriesburg.
Vehicles approaching from Amberfield Manor's side on Lenchen Avenue are coming up from a blind spot and the vehicles approaching from Rooihuiskraal Road, drive way to fast and just assume the other vehicles will stop.
I, myself, have almost been in an accident twice there and that with my children in the car. Not only are vehicles at risk, but the pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.
Let's stand together as a community and get this done. Any councilors on one of the groups that can maybe assist, would be greatly appreciated.
