Oct 17, 2017 — Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters performed the first of three shows at the Bell Centre Monday night, a new film that accuses him of promoting anti-Semitism premiered in Montreal.
The documentary film, called Wish You Weren’t Here, was made by best-selling author Ian Halperin and was presented by B’nai Brith Canada.
The film looks at modern day anti-Semitism and questions whether Waters promotes it through his support of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel. Waters has been outspoken critic of Israel for many years, particularly the country’s treatment of Palestinians, and has called on other musicians to boycott the country.
