Newman University has lost its right to host International Students just because 2 of the 18 international students were rejected to do their studies in the UK.
The Academic year for the students on the MBA course finishes in September 2017- just a matter of weeks.
Students have invested around £25,000 (fees, living costs, expenditure) to study in the UK and this money will have gone to waste- imagine- for overseas students how much of an impact it will be to have thrown away such a large amount of money.
This is unfair, cruel and it is a clear response from the Government which demonstrates the path it wishes to take in the future- cutting immigration when International students contribute around £25bn to our economy.
We have to ask ourselves whether it can be justified to throw out such an investment and students who benefit our society- not to mention the reliance upon which universities have when it comes to taking in international students.
