For the Free people of Europe that have been loyal costumers of Amazon for years, this reccent "cost saving" development from online retail giant Amazon to axe Free shipping options to select countries have gone too far. The countries directly impacted are: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Gibraltar, Iceland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain*, Greece*, Italy*, Andorra*, Liechtenstein*, Norway*, San Marino*, Vatican City* and Sweden.
Without eligable free super saver, many if not all products bought at amazon will no longer be affordable due to high shipping costs! This forces previously faithful amazon costumers to turn to local retailers instead. I and the signees of this petition hereby asks amazon to reconsider this de facto discriminatory new policy which is not only offensive to your customers but is counter-intuitive to the principles of free trade and democracy that the European Union is based upon.
I call for an impromto embargo against all shopping at amazon until we get an response. Let's make our collective voices heard! What we want:
(1) Amazon to reinstate Free super saver delivery
(2) If that's not economically feasible then reintroduce it with a higher minimum cost to be eligible for FSSD e.g. eligible for amazon free super saver delivery when order totals 25£ or higher. (previous min value was 10£)
(3) At an absolute bare minimum we would hope that they could offer an international delivery subscription service, akin to prime.
