Bringing in around $11 billion annually, Amazon has accumulated about $8.4 billion in unpaid taxes, and if paid would vastly improve multiple sections of the country. For example, if paid, the funds could go to something like programs essentially ending homelessness in america. The $8.4 billion could provide all 500,000 homeless in america rent for 18 months. Putting pressure on the senate to pass a bill having one of the richest companies in the country to pay the taxes that weigh heavily on the small businesses Amazon is putting an end to, would benefit the country greatly.
