We live on the beautiful islands of Hawaii, the most isolated place in the world, 2500 miles away from any landmass. We have no plastic recycling facilities and, at the moment, all plastic is getting dumped into the trash which will end up in the landfill. Besides the large environmental damage, unlike the mainland, we have limited land for landfill. I ask Amazon.com to stop sending item wrapped in plastic, it’s unnecessary and very wasteful. Eventually I want to ask the public officials to make legislations preventing unnecessary plastic to be shipped to Hawaii.

I find the carelessness of this and many many other companies outrageous. We need to stop using plastic and try to find alternative solutions to unnecessary packaging! 

if we get this movement going and we become a big number we can convince Amazon to use cardboard envelopes instead and prevent huge amount of plastic being buried in our Aina. Please let’s think of tomorrow and not just make a buck today. Let’s our children inherit a healthy and prosperous land instead of a poisoned one!
