Amazon ALB1 Workers Demand PRIME PAY ON PRIME DAY OCTOBER 11 & 12

Amazon ALB1 Workers Demand PRIME PAY ON PRIME DAY OCTOBER 11 & 12
Why this petition matters
Amazon reported Amazon Prime Day 2022 was its biggest ever, although it did not release specifics (Adobe Digital Economy Index reported overall online sales during the two-day event were $12 billion, up from $11 billion on the same two days of Amazon Prime Day 2021).
Without the workers those $12 BILLION DAYS would not be possible. The workers at ALB1 have some of the highest injury rates in the state of New York. While workers died, we were busy filling those orders so that Amazon could enjoy the fruits of OUR labor. Not one dime of the BILLION-Dollar profits was shared with the workers or the families of the workers that died for Amazon greed.
Amazon made such an extreme amount of money they are now forcing workers, with mandatory overtime, into another prime day event just before Peak Season. Amazon announced a new prime day event on October 11 & 12 just before ALB1 Union Election. Workers are subjected to extreme working conditions, bruises, contusions, concussions, lacerations, heart attack, stroke, extreme pressure, emotional stress and pressure to meet high productivity expectations (see Warehouse Worker Protection Act) despite injuries and fatigue. ALB1 workers are demanding PRIME PAY ON PRIME DAY on October 11 & 12 "surge pay" of $10 an hour, IN ADDITION TO, to an increase in break time from two 15 Minute Breaks to two 20 Minute Breaks and a 45-minute lunch for day shift and hour for night shift. We are on our feet 10 hours a day, sometimes more.
We love filling those orders. We love our customers. We love our co-workers so please help up to fill those orders by asking Amazon to fairly compensate workers while providing extra time to rest our bodies.
