Tascosa scholars shouldn't be forced to choose between academics and extracurriculars!

We, the undersigned parents, grandparents, and friends of a former, current, or future Tascosa High School scholar respectfully request that the Amarillo ISD do everything in its power to ensure that Tascosa is not the only Amarillo school in the UIL 6A Classification for the 2016-2018 school years.
Further, we believe it is in the best interest of all AISD scholars to establish procedures that attempt, whenever possible, to equalize the populations of all four Amarillo high schools. These procedures should include but not be limited to:
- examining transfer policies between high schools
- examining and streamlining each school's registrar methods for clearing up and culling school enrollment rolls prior to the UIL official date of record for attendance
- reconsideration of existing high school boundaries taking into account current and future expected enrollment patterns.
We do not want our students to have to choose between academics and extracurricular activities due to the extreme hardship school-related travel puts on them as well as their coaches and teachers.
