Alvin ISD is beginning in-person classes as early as August 18, 2021. COVID variants are quickly spreading, and our TMC hospitals are at max capacity.
With Covid cases continuing to rise daily, it is outrageous Alvin ISD will be 100% in-person this year with no virtual learning option. Similarly to last year, we need a virtual learning option for our pre-kindergarten to 6th graders. Virtual learning should be an available option until COVID daily cases decline and vaccines are approved for children 11 years old and under.
