Cease and Desist development of Tattoo Program
This petition made change with 836 supporters!
The Algonquin College School of Hospitality is looking to possibly develop a “Tattoo” program.
Tattooing has historically been passed down from Artist to Apprentice, which keeps quality and standards up.
Introducing a program geared to make a quick buck from hopeful artists is irresponsible and inappropriate.
This tradition is being disrespected by the corporate world. This will only lead to a flood in the market, benefitting no one but Algonquin College.
While Illustration skills can be developed within College or classroom settings, tattooing should not be. Tattoo courses like these need to be recognized as a cash grab and are not truly beneficial to the public or the industry.
Show your love for the industry by voicing your disapproval to Algonquin College and let it be an example to all other Colleges who wish to cash in on the Tattoo trade.
