Hi my name is Hazel I go to a school in alpine school district. I would like to change the district-wide dress code. I feel like my creativity is being suppressed and I'm just generally tired of all the bs about how sexual an outfit is as teenagers we need to be able to express ourselves as individual people we don't all follow the same religion and I'm done I've been silent for too long. Join me in making things right and telling them that we will not be silent anymore!! As a whole we can cause a huge change they don't get to tell me what I can or cannot wear. as kids, we were told that creativity is a good thing and now they are saying by giving us a strict dress code you must be like everyone else. The other day I was stopped at the door of the school on a boiling hot day and I was told to put on a hoodie because "your stomach cant be showing" the principal wants me to wear a hoodie on a hot day while we went on a hike. It's not the kids that are distracted by this or causing a pause it's the admins and teachers. No one else cares what you wear at this point. so please join me and sign this petition it won't take long only a few seconds of your time and you can make it so you and so many others can show who you truly are we deserve to be us we made it this far and haven't quit yet so let's tell them they can't hold us back anymore.
