Earlier this week Concordia Dean of Students announced that there would be no guests allowed at Cornstock 2022. The email stated that allowing guests was too high for risk management. 

As a student body, we think this is unfair especially due to other events on campus such as Christmas Concerts and huge sporting events. While we understand that it is a concern, these other events were allowed to happen during peak Covid times with little precautions and hundreds of guests on campus. 

The students now feel disrespected seeing this is our first Cornstock in 3 years and many students have friends within the tri-college area and can’t bring them. 

It would suck to be a band with no audience and a club that put so much work into an event for the students to not feel respected. Help us sign this to make recent alumni feel welcomed, current students feel heard, and guests welcomed. 

Let’s bring back the glory of Cornstock and the celebration of a successful school year!
