It is such hard times for everyone at the moment with the COVID cases rising in Australia, but the parents expecting are going through the worst of times bringing their new bundle of joy into the world with very strict restrictions in place where only the father is allowed in the deliver room during active labour and has to leave the hospital shortly after their baby is born.

It is crucial for the mothers mental and emotional health to have her partner by her side for support.

Why not make it mandatory to do a rapid test prior to entering the ward? That way everyone gets the perfect birth they deserve! With the correct PPE, there is no reason for the restrictions to be the way they are.
