At Bergen Technical High School in Paramus there is a rule that students are not allowed to order food for lunch or go out for lunch. This is a vocational high school for the county in New Jersey. Students can come here full time and half time. Most of the students that come half time leave for lunch and spend there time on the bus coming to there second school not having time to get food from there home district and when we get to Bergen Tech the school lunch is absolutely terrible. They give us cold food and makes most students sick with stomach pains in the bathroom. There have been reports of hair numerous times in our lunches and moldy bread. It was getting so bad most students wouldn’t eat until students began ordering and door dashing food and opening unauthorized doors so we couldn’t get caught. However we think it’s time we change this rule and protocol the right way. We thinks it’s time that we are allowed to order food and get it delivered during the span of our lunch period ONLY and through the only authorized door in the front office with a security guard there to follow safety. We would appreciate the school administration to come up with a safe, reliable and consistent plan where we can get food delivered to our technical high school during our lunch hours or periods. Most of us think it’s absolutely unfair that we are getting punished for doing this especially when we go to schools in the morning that allow that rule for most students to leave for lunch or get food delivered. We think it’s time justice is served and students aren’t being punished for ordering healthier and tastier food as a result of being feed horrible School lunch.
