Why this petition matters

Started by Jessica Soss

Escape Rooms, with proper sanitizing and private rooms, are the safest form of entertainment there can be right now. With the current opening plan, Escape Rooms are not allowed to operate indoors until the orange or yellow phase ( phase 3 or 4). Yet Theaters, gyms, churches, zoos, aquariums and restaurants are allowed to operate with indoor reduced capacity starting in the "red" ( 2nd phase) phase.

Unlike all of the above, we can control the risk of exposure by only allowing private groups, temperature screenings, and only one group in the lobby at a time. These groups are usually family members who spend all of their time together and trust each other.

With sanitation of game rooms, bathrooms, and lobbies between games as well as a reduced occupancy, escape rooms provide a much safer environment than the businesses listed above.

Because we are a fairly new concept to a lot of officials, they have a false idea of what we are and how safe we are for the public.

I am asking you to sign this petition so we are allowed to re-open now, with restrictions.

If we are not allowed to open or at the very least open with these other companies, many escape rooms will close their doors permanently.  The united states were formed on the backs of small businesses. Please don't let us be forgotten in the path to re-opening.

By signing this petition, you are telling our governor and our president that escape rooms are safe and we deserve to open.
