In the spring semester of the 2021-2022 school year, the New Hanover County School Central Office disallowed therapy dogs from all school campuses. The Hoggard High School Student Council has a recurring program that brings therapy dogs to school before finals week to reduce stress in students. Because of this new policy this therapy dog program can longer happen.

This program is too valuable to the mental health of our students to be discontinued. Sign this petition to show your support for therapy dogs at Hoggard so we can change this policy and bring therapy dogs back at the end of the semester!
