Having low scores in MCCQE1 strongly prevents the IMGs from being able to relicence in Canada. Due to lack of transparency or clear pathways many do not prepare properly or do not have the funds to focus only on learning as they need to sustain the family or take care of their newborns. Unfortunatelly,presently there is no chance to rectify the low scores. Many IMGs will loose their chance to use their skills fully; however if they are allowed to retake the QE1  they will be able to contribute fully to the country they choose to call home, Canada. Did you know that Drs Silverman were part of the committee that proposed to be able to take MCCQE1 before one becomes permanent resident? Let's make another real step towards a fair selection again! Recording videos and complaining that the system is unfair has limited impact. Asking what is fair for all rather than drawing attention to individual insuccess is what works! What program director wants around a doctor who posts a video saying they tried for 5 years and did not get an interview? Others got in from first so it is possible! The problem is not getting a fair chance to correct big mistakes of a bad MCCQE1 score. Join Drs Silverman for a fair MCCQE1 reatke (5 times like NAC OSCE) . Why can they do for NAC OSCE and not MCCQE1??? Time for change!
